Dog Mountain Trail System Permits Are Available!
Dog Mountain is arguably one of the most popular (if not the most) hikes in the Columbia River Gorge. This beautiful hike is especially busy in the spring due its springtime wildflower blooms and stunning views! Hikers enjoy panoramic views of the Columbia River Gorge and Mount Hood to the south.
Because of its popularity, the busy months (April 23 – June 12) require a permit which went on sale March 1st. Get your permit here! Note: A permit is also required on Memorial Day, Monday, May 30, 2022.
To participate, all you have to do is take a landscape/outdoor picture in our gorgeous area and use the hashtag #springforwardinskamania! The contest kicks off on March 14th and ends on April 1st! We will pick the top 5 and will then allow our followers to vote on the winner!
The prize is a beautiful multi-colored glass hummingbird feeder, laser cut plant stand, multi garden tool, canvas tool bag and stool. Valued at $175.00
We’re excited to see your pictures and to see you in Stevenson and Skamania County this spring! Book your adventure to Gorge HQ here!
