The Skamania County Chamber of Commerce is a 501(c)(6) nonprofit organization led by a dedicated staff who strive to advance the Chamber’s mission and serve its members.  To help guide those efforts is our volunteer Board of Directors. The board is made up of members in good standing who represent a diverse range of industries and geographic areas throughout Skamania County, providing leadership that reflects the strength and character of our business community.

The Chamber Board of Directors nominate members in good standing to fill board vacancies and interested nominees are asked to submit a letter of interest. The Board of Directors review all letters of interest to determine the best candidate to fill the vacancy.
The Board of Directors also nominates Executive Officers each year, to serve for a term of two (2) years with a limit of two (2) consecutive terms.

Strategic Statement and Plan:

“Skamania County Chamber of Commerce is a champion for business, supporting regional prosperity through business promotion, advocacy, collaboration and community connections.”

The Chamber Board of Directors holds an annual retreat each fall to set the goals for the upcoming year.  The following action items were identified as priorities for our 2026-2027 strategic plan:

  • Programming
    Deliver mission-driven programs that support business growth, enhance member value, and expand tourism initiatives that strengthen the local economy.
  • Government Affairs
    Provide relevant and timely Government Affairs programming that informs and engages members, while strengthening communication channels.
  • Communication
    Elevate awareness of the Chamber’s impact through clear, consistent messaging, while strengthening communication with members and the broader community to foster engagement and connection.
  • Collaboration
    Partner with local stakeholders to create a destination development strategy that supports sustainable tourism.

 

Chamber Board meetings are held on the second Thursday, every other month at 11:30 a.m. in the Chamber board room.
