The Chamber Board of Directors nominate members in good standing to fill board vacancies and interested nominees are asked to submit a letter of interest. The Board of Directors review all letters of interest to determine the best candidate to fill the vacancy.
The Board of Directors also nominates Executive Officers each year, to serve for a term of two (2) years with a limit of two (2) consecutive terms.

Strategic Statement and Plan:

“Skamania County Chamber of Commerce is a champion for business.  We support regional prosperity through business promotion, advocacy, collaboration and community connections.”

The Chamber Board of Directors holds an annual retreat and sets the goals for the next year. For 2024 our two-year strategic plan was update and the following were identified as priorities:

  • Programming – Identify programs that align with the mission/vision of the Chamber.
  • Government Affairs – Expand and elevate Government Affairs programming and communication.
  • Communication – Increase communication with Chamber members and the community regarding programs and services that benefit businesses.
  • Collaboration – Work with local stakeholders understand the needs of the business community and find solutions.

Chamber Board meetings are held on the second Thursday, every other month at 11:30 a.m. in the Chamber board room.
